BY RAIL
The nearest railway station is Wareham – a short taxi ride away. Trains from London Waterloo to Weymouth stop here at least once an hour. Taxis generally wait outside but if you wish to pre book – call Valley Taxis on 01929 480655 and they will meet your train.
BY BUS
The main bus through Corfe Castle is the hourly no 40 from Poole to Swanage using the new Purbeck Breezer buses and offering great views. A twice daily service, the no 44 connects Corfe Castle with Worth Matravers and Harmans Cross.
In school holidays the 40 bus service becomes half hourly, and the X43 service also runs from Swanage to Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Weymouth four times a day and is great for walkers on the Coast Path
BY ROAD
Corfe Castle is easily accessible by road – take the A351 from Wareham towards Swanage and as you go up the hill into Corfe you will need to signal right and turn into the square by the Bankes Arms pub. Continue into the square towards the national trust shop and turn left just past the Post Office. Follow West Street past the Model Village and Olivers B & B – continue until you see a sign for the car park on the side of a building on the right. Do not turn to the car park but continue on about 200 metres and you will see Wayfaring Cottage and Hillview Cottage on the left.
You can park just outside Hillview to unload. There is a parking pass in the Cottage which gives exclusive use of a space (no 2) in the car park which is directly opposite Hillview (pedestrian access is up a small alleyway)
For Sat Navs the postcode is BH20 5HA but you may still need the little man or notes above to find the Cottage.
Keys can be collected from Wayfaring Cottage by prior arrangement or from a key safe – location and code will be texted to you. Please let us know when you are about an hour away!
